Swiss dairy group Emmi has acquired Italian desserts company Pasticceria Quadrifoglio for an undisclosed amount. The transaction is subject to approval of the relevant competition authorities.
The Italian desserts category is a strategic growth area for the Emmi Groups European business, the company said. Pasticceria Quadrifoglio will join the “Emmi Dessert Italia” network, which comprises of three production locations in Gattico, Pero and Lasnigo in Northern Italy. Pasticceria Quadrifoglio operates two production sites near Modena, which will further expand Emmi’s production and distribution capabilities.
Founded in 1978, Pasticceria Quadrifoglio manufactures fresh desserts, frozen pastry, pastry cream, gelato and sorbets serving the Italian food retail and food service sector.
