05 August 2019 – Nestlé India will be investing around INR 700 crore, or USD 100,5 million, over the next two years to set up a new factory in India’s Gujarat state for the manufacturing of the company’s popular Maggi instant noodles.

According to a stock exchange note, the new factory will generate jobs for around 400 people, of which half will go to women as part of the company’s diversity drive.

The new factory will be Nestlé India’s ninth manufacturing facility in the country.
